Obra Task (“we”, “our”, “us”) values your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use the Obra Task mobile application, web admin panel, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).

By accessing or using Obra Task, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Personal Information
  • First Name and Last Name
  • Email Address (used for login and communication)
  • Phone Number (not used for login; non-unique)
  • Company Name, Company Type, and Company Address
  • Profile Photo and Company Logo (if uploaded)
  • Language preference (English or Spanish)

Project & Observation Data

  • Project details (project name, address, type, size, floors, units)
  • Observations (titles, categories, subcategories, remarks, criticality, due dates, and status)
  • Responsible person details (name, email, phone, specialty)
  • Media attachments such as images, videos, and voice notes
  • Generated PDF reports

Technical & Usage Data

  • IP address and device information
  • App usage logs and crash reports
  • Offline sync status
  • Analytics data for performance monitoring

Advertisement Data

  • Advertisements may be displayed in the mobile app and generated PDF reports.
  • Ads are shown based on project location (geographic radius)
  • No user profiling or behavior-based tracking is performed in Phase 1
  • Advertisers do not receive access to user or project data

3. How We Use Your Information

Create and manage user accounts

Enable project and observation management

Support offline data capture and synchronization

Generate PDF reports containing sponsor advertisements

Send verification emails, password resets, and notifications

Improve platform stability and performance

Comply with legal and regulatory requirements

4. Offline Mode & Data Synchronization

Obra Task supports offline functionality. Data entered while offline is stored locally on your device and automatically synchronized with our servers once an internet connection is restored.

5. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell or rent your personal data.

We may share information only with:

  • Trusted service providers (e.g., AWS, Firebase, SendGrid/Mailgun) for operational purposes
  • Legal authorities if required by law
  • Parties involved in a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition

6. Data Storage & Security

  • Data is hosted on secure cloud infrastructure (AWS)
  • Media files are stored on AWS S3
  • Access controls and industry-standard security measures are applied
  • While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no system can be guaranteed 100% secure

7. Data Retention

  • Data is retained while your account remains active
  • Deleting your account permanently removes associated data from active systems
  • Generated PDF reports are not permanently stored on the Platform

8. Your Rights

  • View and update your profile information
  • Change your email address and password
  • Delete your account at any time
  • Re-register using the same email after account deletion

9. Third-Party Links

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or advertiser URLs. Obra Task is not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Any changes will be posted on this page.
